MESSAGE FROM CROWN DISTRICT EC

MILLER NORTON, W4EMN

Greetings to all;

With 2010 now if full swing the Crown District continues to move forward.  We have embraced the concept of diversity and understand the need for back-up systems.  We have fostered new ideas and concepts and are working together as a team to make it happen.

It is important that Crown District Leadership continues to maintain a working relationship with one another and with our partners outside of the District.  The sharing of ideas and newly discovered methods are important for us to continue to learn and be aware of new and better tools as they are developed.

Remember to keep in close contact with our served agencies and to keep them keenly aware of our growing capabilities so that they can better understand how we might help them when the need arises.  Always remember that it is our job to serve and to listen to the needs of our served agencies and then to figure out how to get it done. New and growing technologies such as D-STAR and WINLINK2000 should be explored and utilized in order to keep our programs fresh and cohesive with the overall ARES and Amateur Radio EmComm program.

I can't tell you how pleased I am with what we have done so far and I am even more excited about what we are going to do in the future.  Keep up the good work and the positive energy.
